Torpado Ribot A 29” XT
Ribot was a gallop champion horse, one of the strongest and best known gallopers of all time. Such a successful horse gives its name to the MTB 29” front of the Torpado Impudent line with 100mm of travel.
The characteristics of Ribot are:
- greater grip and feeling of security
- wheels with a larger diameter that reduce the angle of impact with rough ground and give a greater contact surface with the ground increasing the grip both in traction and braking
The experience of the Torpado Factory Team in competitions has allowed to identify standards, study and test geometries with solutions that are a part of the Ribot line.
The length of the chainstays of 435mm, combined with the steering angle of 70°, makes sure that the mountain bike has a compact wheelbase and is therefore extremely maneuverable and responsive. The rear brake, as required by the most modern standards, is a post mount in the chainstay (more rigid and lighter) for a 140mm disc.
The choice of the components and the features of the frame (tapered head, steering angle, length of chainstays) make the steering very accurate, but without being too nervous, therefore adapting both to racing and comfortable use.
In the Torpado range, the A identifies the products made of aluminium alloy 6061 with dedicated components.
The entrance line to the world of Torpado Impudent, these products have been designed with the same concept of the carbon line, therefore geometries, design and standards correspond, allowing to build a product with different characteristics but the same look.
